Integrated Capabilities

Billet Casting
Our state-of-the-art hot top billet casting technology allows us to produce 134 million pound per year.

All our alloys are run to a very specific range, well within strict international specifications.

Using continuous improvement tools, we are focused on energy save and reducing energy surcharge cost keeping in mind to produce high quality products.

Extruding
12 Presses with an annual extruding capacity of 154 million pounds.

Each press is equipped with water quenching systems and robot pullers with hot saws.

Aluminum shapes can be extruded up to 12” wide and 10 pounds per linear foot.


Tempering

Our artificial aging ovens are capable of working the complete range of tempers for all alloys offered.

The Maximum extrusion length is 52 feet.


Die Design and Construction

Our own die manufacturing facilities allow us to meet our lead - time commitments.

Our die shops are equipped with CAD/CAM systems that enhance and speed die design and fabrication.

Annual die design and construction capability is 5,600 dies.


Anodizing
Our anodizing capabilities include:

Mechanical Finishing:
Shot peening for lengths up to 24 feet

Chemical Finishing:
Etch capabilities in Clear for lengths up to 24 feet (including rack marks)
Etch capabilities in Gold, Bronze, Black and Champagne for lengths up to 21 feet.

All finishing meets the standards set forth by the Aluminum Association and AAMA specifications.


Packing
CUPRUM Extrusions has the packing capabilities to meet your needs, whatever size or shape. Packing options include master bundling, bare bundling, paper layering, foam layering, paper interleaving and cardboard boxing.

Our packing procedures are geared to ensure your satisfaction and meet your handling needs.

Painting
Our new state-of-the-art painting system is a high capacity vertical line, capable of applying powder and liquid coatings, complying with Qualycoat, AAMA 2603.8 or AMMA 2605.2 on 2, 3 and 4 coat systems.

We are an approved applicator of PPG and Interpon paints. Powder coating applied is TGIC free. Our pre-treatment is free of plumb and chromium.

The maximum extrusion length we can paint is 24 feet


Fabrication Shop
Machinery at our own in house shop includes punching presses, precision cutting saws, etc., allowing a complete profile transformation for pieces such as heat sinks, supports, handrails and door pullers among others, giving them an extra added value.

Saw capabilities include:
Batch saw for high volume 90-degree cuts with a tight tolerance up to 24 feet
Precision miter saws for lengths up to 24 feet

Punch press capabilities range from 6 ton to 100-ton presses utilized for customized punching, knurling and shearing.

Brake presses are also available for 8 and 12 feet setups for UNIPUNCHS in order to reduce tooling costs

Shipment
CUPRUM warehouse uses side loaders material handling. All orders are checked by shipping coordinators and shipping supervisors for accuracy while loading. To preserve the quality of the material, it is loaded directly onto a flatbed using overhead cranes.

CUPRUM uses dependable and well-established flatbed carriers to deliver most shipments.
